Depuis Tilcara, nous sommes allés à Iruya, un village isolé à 50km de la route principale. Pour y arriver, il nous a fallu 4h de bus sur une route qui grimpe jusqu'à un col à 4'000m puis redescend dans la vallée sur un chemin super étroit qui tourne dans tous les sens. Il ne vallait mieux ne pas trop regarder en bas, car il n'y a aucune sécurité, et à une ou deux reprises, on a bien cru que l'on tomberait. Jun 17, 2009 - Iruya. In the land of the mighty Andes and condors

It was steady uphill until we reached the top. The bus driver stopped the bus to announce that we could get out and take photos. The wind went right through every piece of layer I had on but you had to go to the edge to look over this immense valley plateau with a deep gorge carved through the center. We were at over 4000meters. The mountains are bare with what might be a pampas grass, rough tufts that give the illusion of green. Down below there are large terraces of agriculture and a few adobe houses. Clearly no road. A few people got off...
