May 29, 2005 - Viajando, viajando, viajando.

Just as I expected, getting out of bed for the bus today was pure toture. I am the most apathetic, illogical person when it comes to putting my feet on the floor in the morning. Despite the fact that I would be totally screwed, I still am not at all inspired to move. Not to mention that my intestines where whining about yesterday's poor choice (churro? avacado?) that made my stomach churn like the sea. I did make the bus, however. Dec 4, 2004 - Into Argentina

Crossed over from Bolivia into Argentina. Near to the border, the truck stopped and we could hear the tour leader shout "donde esta Argentina?" ("Where is Argentina?") to a passing local. Asking directions to a rather large country does not inspire much confidence does it? It´s a quote that will stick in my mind for some time though. One past the dodgy town at the border, it was soon obvious that we were in a more "western country" - for example the school kids playing football all had proper kit rather than any old t-shirt, etc. Definitely...

Nov 19, 2004 - Free day in Salta - waiting for bus to go home

Nov. 19, free day in Salta and bus trip to Reconquista Kevin and I spent last free day in Salta doing our own things. I got up early to visit several museums. While I was at the cabildo, the old town hall situated on one side of the main plaza, a demonstration outside caught my attention, and unable to concentrate due to the noise and my curiosity, I ventured out into the bright sun to see what was happening.
