Up again bright and early to a gorgeous day in the Andes. There wasn't any interesting going ons today on the highway so we had breakfast and then walked into Puente del Inca to catch the 10am bus to Las Cuevas. We are excited as we will stay in a bed tonight and actually have access to a shower! It is only day 3 in a tent and we are already whining - ha ha. Dec 10, 2008 - Las Cuevas

Another beautiful sunny morning in the Andes - not a cloud in the sky. This morning as we are enjoying our breakfast of instant oatmeal & lattes we notice that semi-trailer after semi-trailer is going by with city buses loaded on them. Fero made the comment 'they look like Vancouver city buses'. No sooner did he say that when one went by that said 'To Oak St', and then another one that said 'Arbutus'. Sure enough, these were old Vancouver city buses that the BC Government had given to the city of Mendoza. They obviously had just been...
