Cachi is yet another small village about 160km south west of Salta. We tried to get a direct connection from Cafayate but were not quite able to pull it off. It was a 5 hour bus journey in a bus that was not in the best of conditions; it is the ride to this town that is the main point of this trip. It is very windy dirt road that climbs to 3500 metres before settling back to 2500 metres of Cachi.
