From San Juan we took a night bus to Córdoba where instead of going to yet another hostel to cook yet another dish of pasta and tuna and to meet yet another British/German/American gap year student, we decided to go COUCHSURFING! In brief, it's a webpage for finding people that are willing to accommodate travellers on their couches. ... We had breakfast in a park cafe with a gorgeous view, did a walking tour around the city, attended a large free concert (looked more like a Finnish summer festival to us judging by size), had a picnic with a bunch of Argentinian people, ate pasta made by an Argentinian chef (Vir's brother Luis Maria), went to a restaurant opening of a family friend, joined a house party with the earlier bunch from the picnic, and finally, when we were quite ready to go to sleep (at 5 am) we obviously went clubbing in one of the Boliches in Córdoba. ... So, after difficult goodbyes in Córdoba, we are now enjoying the subtropical climate of Tucumán, heading up north to Bolivia. ...

Córdoba is de 2de grootste stad van Argentinië met bijna 1,4 miljoen mensen en wordt de culturele hoofdstad van Amerika genoemd. ... De catedraal van Córdoba ziet er in tegenstelling tot de baseliek heel slecht uit, ze is door de vervuiling erg aangetast en behoeft dringend restauratie, iets waar ze binnenin bijna klaar mee zijn. ... Nach 21 Stunden Busfahrt haben wir Patagonien definitiv Richtung Zentralargentinien verlassen und sind in Córdoba angekommen. ...
