We checked into our great Buenos Aires hotel - Castelar - which is right in the middle of all of the action. We took a bit of time to regroup after our cross-country adventures. We had to go to the spa, take a little siesta, and then sort and pack all of our stuff. You might not think this would take much time, but Ryan and I were hoping to off load 20 kgs into Mom and Dad's bags, so we had our work cut out for us. Dec 31, 2005 - Buenos Aires, Argentina - New Years Eve

Buenos Aires Arrived 30/12/05 (Please see Argentinian Map) After an overnight journey from Uraguay our bus arrived into the main bus terminal in Buenos Aires at 6.30am on the 30th December. We caught a taxi to the hotel we had left only a few days before to check back into it for 3 nights over New Year. The taxis are so cheap in Buenos Aires that we found ourselves catching them everywhere. About 2 pounds to go 5 miles! We chose to catch up on our sleep for the first part of the day as we were tired and had found it very difficullt to sleep...

Jul 29, 2004 - Back to BA!!!

What a great city!! Our second time round here and we have to say that this place rocks! It's cheap, it's modern, it's clean, and just a really good place to almost finish our South American adventures in. We spent a week here, visited some sights, went shopping, and did a lot of, er,um, drinking. Really, that's pretty much what we did, so I'm not going to babble on about the culture of the place, or how wonderful that architecture is, because we really wouldn't know. We partied. Hard. So on to Mendoza......
