Jan 18, 2015 - Anguilla to Ile Fourchue
Sunday, January 18th -- Crocus Bay to Ile Fourchue Today was to be our long sailing day from Anguilla to Ile Fourchue -- approximately 28 nautical miles. Too bad there was none of the wind which had made our exit from Oyster Pond so rough. By the time the rest of us were ready to eat breakfast Hubby already had coffee percolating and papaya served. We didn't rush but didn't waste any time either. Almost at exactly the same time as yesterday (~7:30) the small reef shark swam around under the boat again. We took time out from readying for...

Jan 17, 2015 - Little Bay snorkeling
Saturday, January 17th -- Little Bay Day Mooring The plan today was to take advantage of the snorkeling in the Little Bay section of Anguilla's Marine Park so we only had a short trip from our Crocus Bay anchorage. Breakfast was leisurely. Everyone was glad to get their caffeinated beverage at breakfast, thanks to Hubby's early morning schedule. Hubby reported seeing a small reef shark swimming around under the boat but he was the only one who saw it. We ate papaya with a squeeze of lime juice instead of oranges and grapefruit, but...

Jan 16, 2015 - Anguilla Marine Park -- Sandy Island and Prickly Pear Cay
Friday, January 16 -- Road Bay to Crocus Bay via Sandy Island and Prickly Pear Cay From Road Bay, Sandy Island looks like the perfect desert island, with its palm trees and white sand beaches. We were advised to be moored at Sandy Island in the Marine Park before the main tourist rush started around 10:00, so we were up at 6:00 and quickly ate an abbreviated cold breakfast, even sacrificing our usual caffeine drink of choice. Even so, we had a short delay when we noticed that the refrigerator was not working. We (i.e. Hubby, the Mechanical...

Jan 15, 2015 - St. Martin to Anguilla
Thursday, January 15th -- Grand Case (St. Martin) to Road Bay (Anguilla) Some time during the night the wind died down so by morning the boat was hardly rocking at all. Surprisingly I was one of the first ones awake this morning at about 6:30. Hubby and I had almost finished cutting up the eggs and potatoes (leftover from dinner last night) for the potato salad lunch by the time everyone else started organizing their individual breakfasts. We were getting better at remembering where the various foods were stored in the galley! Hubby had...
