Sunday 18th September (Gary) Our wonderful evening changed to a wet night and by the small hours we had serious rain until 8am, as bad as the noise of rain on our van roof may be, I do feel for the poor people in tents. Historic Split was a lot better than our guide book would have it, the 200m sq Diocletian Palace named after the Roman emperor Diocletian (AD 245-313) was more than worth the effort, I do in this case love the way subsequent visitors built on top of the original building.
