So we carved it for halloween

Scary!

Arches was definitely one of my favourite places. It is an incredible landscape of desert and rock with over 2 thousand arch formations. Our campsite at Devils Garden was a really cool place with great views of the valley below and lots of rocks to clamber over. We stayed 4 nights and did pretty much every hike and viewed all the main arches.

The hike to Delicate Arch was a definite highlight. Its fairly strenuous but the view at the end of it was just amazing. We sat up at the arch for hours just admiring the view. The arch is stood all alone on the very edge of a cliff. We both felt that it is possibly our favourite place we've been on the whole trip.

I did another excellent hike through the devils garden viewing Landscape Arch and about 10 other arches. Landscape Arch is over 300 feet across and looks like it could collapse at any moment. We also visited the nearby town of Moab. The other thing about our stay at Arches was that it got very, very cold at night. We had to heat up rocks in our campfire then wrap them in socks and take them to bed with us.
