From Monkey Mia we drove on towards Perth. As you will see from the photos we stopped briefly to take a photo of a signpost for a 'Useless Loop' Road! The Australian sense of human can be very dry and they definitely call a spade, spade!

We camped for the night at a rest stop not far from The Pinnacles where we had our last campfire in Australia - it actually got pretty fierce so we had to move the van a bit further away from it!

The following morning we visited Nabung National Park to see The Pinnacles Desert where there are hundreds of huge limestone pillars rising out of the yellow sand desert. There were many pillars of different shapes and sizes but also loads of flies so we stayed in the van as much as possible and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the hoards from the tour buses having to walk!

On the way out of the national park we stopped at Hangover Bay for a dip in the ocean - beautiful beach but it was a very quick dip in the ocean as it was freezing and very salty.
