Crystal - After what seemed like a very long two days travelling, we are back in a little beach paradise. This time we have come to one of the Southern most beaches of Goa, Palolem - but with exactly the same itinerary in mind. To do as little as possible!
We were lucky with our trains and connections and we mannaged to get up here a day earlier than planned which I am grateful for as I lost a day to sickness. Just as I was thinking how I had done quite well to have only been struck with the curse of India once, round two comes along. Thankfully it was short lived, yet I managed to dedicate a whole night and day to the toilet. Both on it and over it. Dom escaped this round which I decided was although shorter, worse than the first. But i'm fine again, back on the beach, eating more than you would think possible and managing a fine amount of Goan Port. We have only three full days here and then we have another train to Mumbai. We fly out of India on Thursday 10th and I am quite sad to leave. We need another month here at least to visit the North and the East and although I think we have covered loads of ground in the time we have been here, it's such a vast country and I wish we didn't have to go just yet knowing there is so much more to see!
While we were here two Indian boys on a Uni break got swept away by the sea and are presumed dead. The currents are really strong here and its really dangerous for swimmers. Basically groups of Indian men/boys come here and get totally wasted (we've seen loads) and then dare each other to swim out as far as they can. It was in all the local papers. Crazy hey.
