Left Oakura to head to Mt Egmont national park as Paul had told us about the beautiful walks and views.

After driving as far up as we could we parked up and chose are route dressed in flip flops shorts and T shirt carrying heavy rucksacks no drinks or food and at this point to eager children!!

After walking through what looked like the Ewok Forest (Star Wars) 20mins in Rae was moaning and wanted to turn back but the kids wanteed to keep going. After trecking through dense woodland up hill all the way and having to climb over big rocks and huge trunks we reached the look out point! My first words were WOW look at that! and the reply from Rae was YEA BLOODY GREAT IV'E JUST SEEN ALL THAT FROM THE VAN IM TIRED HUNGRY AND MY LEGS ACHE AND I WANT SOME CHOCOLATE Drew wanted to continue we had already been walking for 2hours. At this point Jude had fallen asleep and had to be carried all the way by ME!! We made are way down the Mountain through rough tarrain much to Rae's delight she was slipping up all the way down and stuck her foot in slimmy mud which was squelching between her toes!!! 3hrs later we arrived back at the amazing site of our van hungry thirsty and Rae had just stopped moaning as her voice went!!!!!!!!

We continued are drive down the west coast and ended up in Kaupokonui campsite were we spent the afternoon relaxing and racing down the sand dunes, which Jude loved.

In the morning we went to Mt Taranaki to see Dawson Falls which you could get right to the bottom of the falls. Then we drove down to Wanganui (Freaktown!!)
