Danny and Anna's Round The World Trip 2005 travel blog

Where we won the Rugby World Cup

Its quite big in here

Rowing in the Manly surf

Anna's choice

Danny's choice

Our last shot of the bridge

And of the opera House

And of Sydney's high rise

Our mobile broke so without an alarm we didn't get the early start we had hoped for.

Took the ferry down to Homebush to visit the Olympic Park. As time had slipped away with us we only managed to take a behind the scenes tour of the Telstra Stadium. We were particularly impressed with the plush corporate suites and have taken note of the companies that own them so that we can apply for jobs with them back home! The stadium was comlpleted 3 months ahead of schedule - now I wonder if they will achieve that in the London Games...

Next job was to close our bank account and we made it to the branch just in time. With pockets full of $100 notes (we had wanted to have one of these since we arrived) we decided to continue on to Manly to grab a fish and chip supper in this trendy beach suburb.

The ferry ride is the other good reason to head to Manly - even more views of the Opera House and Bridge. Waiting for the ferry back into town we were lucky enough to catch a beautiful sunset which we enjoyed whilst eating delicious Danish Ice Cream. For once our timing was perfect as having been thrilled by the sunset we were then mesmerised by the city by night on the ferry ride back to Central Quay - it seemed like every one was trying to capture it on their digital cameras.
