We had to be up at 5.30am this morning so I missed a shower this morning!! Once the ferry docked, we hopped on the bus and, after a short drive, arrived at Hotel Frini. There was quite a confusion with our accommodations as there were so many people staying at the hotel there wasn't enough room for all of us so some had to stay at a location a bit further away which was a bummer. I was lucky and got a room in the main hotel. I thought it was a great room. I had beautiful water views from our balcony and we got single beds, not bunks!! I am rooming with Marianne and Carol.
We had breakfast at the hotel and then Sam drove us into Corfu Town to do our final shopping for Egypt. I bought a light, long-sleeved top, a sarong, some water spray and some sunglasses. We wandered the markets and little streets. It's quite a cute town. Lisa and I were supposed to meet Nicki for lunch at 1pm but she didn't turn up (though apparently she did so I have no idea what went wrong there). So we wandered to our pick-up point.
We headed back to the hotel and I had a short sleep. The sickness is getting quite bad and I'm running out of cold and flu tablets. Dinner was at 6.30pm. At 6pm I headed downstairs and heard all about the boys' adventures in the car they hired for the day. Sounds like they had a brilliant time.
After dinner we got ready for the toga party that night. Sheets were 2 euro to rent and they showed us how to tie them at dinner. I did my best and I think it turned out ok. There was no way I was going commando though (like you're supposed to), underwear police or not!! I wore my underwear and bra. It ended up a great night. It was Sarah's birthday so I bought her a drink and I made use of the happy hour 4 euro cocktails which were pretty potent (for me anyways haha). Andrew organised a birthday cocktail and happy birthday sing along for Sarah and the Holy Grail came on and our group went crazy and had a group hug/dance. It was all great fun. I had bought some thongs during the day that flashed when I walked and, though it sounds stupid, they went off on the dance floor. At one stage, Andrew showed Sarah and I he was definitely commando that night - scary stuff haha!! It was a great night with great music but around midnight my cold and flu tablets started wearing off and I had to go to bed. It took another hour for me to stop coughing and actually get to sleep. But nothing can ruin my holiday spirits!!!
Spending:
7 euro - sarong.
8.50 euro - flashing thongs.
9 euro - drinks.
6.50 euro - water spray.
28 euro - top.
13 euro - sunglasses (which I broke later on grrr).
