Today lot of photographers, with nice backdrops, were scattered on the main deck. We took advantage of the digital photo package and had several shots … including one with a photoshopped alien.
Dinner time: we both had eggplant napoleon as appetizer; then wife had lamb and I asked for a pumpkin risotto… the waiter was surprised…’only one risotto?’ After previous days double serving he was convinced we eat a lot… strange thinking… by the way I felt obliged to order something more (ravioli with cheese and asparagus). We still needed a dessert; chocolate cake for Laura and just pineapple for me (I am on a diet).
After dinner we gathered in the theater. The senior officers of the ship were introduced and the Captain held a welcome speech. It could seem strange considering that we are already in the second half of the cruise; not so strange realizing the boarding process: in normal periods on Sunday there is boarding in Genoa, on Monday in Civitavecchia, on Tuesday in Naples and today in Palermo, so it’s only now that the people is fully renewed.
The evening show was GRANDE AMORE, based on several well known Italian songs, like Arrivederci Roma, O sole mio (it’s now or never), Nel blu dipinto di blu (volare) and more. It was our preferred show and we will try to watch it again tomorrow if possible.
