Our Favorite place to eat when at Seaside, Maggies on the Prom

Just walk up and hope they’ve got room, we like the outside...

Outside gives you the best views of the ocean

We enjoyed crab dip and a large order of steamer clams

Maggie’s has THE “BEST clam chowder anywhere along the west or east...

If you have a “directors chair” here’s a hack! Save the spacers...

Applying and cinching down “zip strips” over the spacers, I use small...

Look for each joint that flexes and spacers that separate

I used about 15 on each chair. Your chairs will last longer...

We have spent 2 weeks here and now it’s time to leave. We have had many days of rain, an oddity this time of year, but we persevered. So, take a look at our pictures of the things we’ve done while here.

One of the things we do when in Seaside is to eat at least once at Maggies on the Prom! It’s a small locally owned restaurant at the promenade down at the beach. We compare all clam chowder to this fabulous chowder. It’s different, it’s better..

We needed new director chairs, the last set was 7 years old. Dave, long ago discovered a “Chair Hack” that prevents at least one way the chairs breakdown. He uses two sizes of “Zip Ties” that are zipped and cinched down over the spacers and washers that separates the moving bars. Check out the photos for this subject and give it a try.

After 22 years of marriage, we still regard us as newly weds! One of the things we do often is to have a “romantic dinner”. Our favorite dinner on the coast is Freshly cooked crab with sliced cheese, fresh sourdough French bread all swigged down with a terrific wine, (red or white).
