Dolpins at Seal Rocks

We spent our last night in Forster. We followed the Visitor Information Officer's recommendation and did the coast walk to Bennetts Head Lookout with breathtaking views up and down the coast.

For dinner we ate at Hogs Breath, we both ordered rare steaks and I treated myself and ordered a Moscow Mule (Vodka, ginger beer and lime juice). Our accommodation at the Golden Sands Motel on Head St was very good value (only $81) and conveniently located one street back from the beach.

It's winter but because the weather is nice and sunny there are lots of people sunbathing and swimming, not us though, even though we did bring our swimmers!

For breakfast we had pancakes and maple syrup at a lovely cafe overlooking Wallis Lake.

We headed for Seal Rocks, a small coastal settlement and while there are no longer any seals, there certainly were lots of whales and dolphins on show. We hiked up to Sugarloaf lighhouse for wonderful views in all directions. This area is famous for its surfing beaches.

On the way home we stopped at Heathebrae Pies at Raymond Terrace for a late lunch/ afternoon tea. Graeme had a pie and I had a vanilla slice. Well why not - afterall we are on holidays.......again!
