Fingal Bay despite the Van and the Virus travel blog

Mon Mar 16 - Day 22

Guess what? - It’s blue skies all over. Must be time to go home. Not much to do this morning. All done and away without fuss and back home by 10:30. Gained an hour at the border. It was an uneventful run home, taking the van to our church’s spacious grounds to enable ferrying our goods and chattels back to the house 500m away.

After a cuppa Ron returned to the van to wash it and wait for The Awning Man to come and give a quote on it’s replacement which he did about 5:00pm. He tells us it has been damaged by hail and will be an insurance claim.

Everything is now shifted from the van back to the house and the van is washed ready for a door fix insurance quote tomorrow morning.

Tonight we were advised that ALL Group activities in the Village are suspended until further notice - ie Line Dancing, TaiChi, Aqua Aerobics, Movie Theatre, Mens Weights, Happy Hour, Bingo, Cards, Craft, Walking Group etc etc

- - - Wow!!!!! Now the fallout from the Virus is really getting close to Home!!

Interesting Comment 22 -

The news commentary today said that we will look back on this event as

“the year that changed the way we lived”
