Viva Las Vegas

View from my room into my favorite RV park in Las Vegas

Mesquite, NV to Las Vegas, NV

Pretty short trip today so left Mesquite around 9AM. Arrived in Las Vegas around 10AM and decided to run a few errands before the expected arrival of friends Kristi and Scott around 3:30 PM.

One errand was to get dog treats for Sadie as they are out of them in Anchorage. Turns out they are out of them everywhere. I’m not sure I can go home now, Sadie likes her treats.

I checked into my hotel, Eastside Cannery near Boulder Highway and Tropicana. I guess I picked the hotel because it is next door to the RV park I stay in when I’m in Las Vegas.

Went over to Kristie and Scott’s condo to visit while waiting the arrival of Fritz at about 5:30 PM. When Fritz arrived, with a 15 passenger rental van, we all went to dinner at the Black Bear Diner, one of our favorites.

Nancy and Larry were arriving late due to delays in Seattle. Sharon and Bill will join up tomorrow.

Since it was past my bed time, I went to my hotel after dinner. All of the gang should be together for breakfast in the morning.

The group has gathered in Las Vegas to attend the West Coast Conference Tournament and cheer for our alma mater, Gonzaga University. The core, (Kristi, Scott, Nancy, Larry, and Fritz), have attended this mini reunion for some ten years. Some of us have shown up from time to time. We graduated over forty years ago so there is plenty to talk about. We always have a great time.

Traveled 82 miles in 1.25 hours.
