To Kill a Mockingbird with Jeff Daniels was outstanding

When we woke up this morning we were docked in Bayonne NJ. Of course it was a mad house but we carried our luggage off, got an uber and went to the Staten Island Ferry terminal to ferry to New York City. Our niece, Jill and her husband Andrew have an apartment in New York plus a house in Garrison NY about 50 miles north of New York City. It being Friday they usually leave work and head straight to Garrison. So she graciously let us stay at her apartment Friday night. It was fun walking around New York. We got sandwiches for lunch at a great NY deli and found a liquor store to buy some wine. After lunch we promptly took a nap. We ate dinner a Vezzo on Lexington Ave and had the best lasagna ever. Then we went to the Shubert Theater and saw Jeff Daniels in “To Kill A Mockingbird”. Fantastic performance. What surprised us was the number of people out and about after the performance. One could hardly move. We had to walk cross town to Lexington to get a cab to go back to Jill’s apartment.
