December 16, 2019 – Cleveland, Livingston and Houston, Texas
After breakfast this morning, I drove to Livingston to pick up the power of attorney. Unfortunately, since I was there in November, the County Clerk has decided that this would not work and had notified the lawyer. So, I went to the County Clerk’s Office again. She was out. Since her secretary was the one I worked with after she discussed it with the County Clerk, I was determined not to talk to anyone except the county clerk. She was out so I will have to go back on Wednesday after I drop Sarah off at the airport.
It has rained off and on all day with a brisk wind blowing so that it has felt much colder than the low 50s. Sarah’s plane was delayed because of the weather so by the time she cleared the airport, we were caught in rush hour traffic.
After getting checked into the motel, we set off the Magical Winter Lights show. It was as good as last year. There were some things which were the same, but basically all of the displays were new. We spent about an hour and then decided to head off to supper and get in out of the cold.
The drive back to the hotel was easier than the one out to the show because it was not rush hour. There was still a lot of traffic, but it was moving. I was glad to get back here and off the road.
