Tonight I rode with Roy and Mary Deen and George (a resident of the regular Escapees RV Park) to nearby Goodrich to view the Christmas lights. The couple who own the display live on the property. (The woman’s name is Glenda.) For the last several years the man has single-handedly set up the display. The property is located west of Livingston on Loop 393 in Goodrich, TX (off FM 1988).
The drive-through costs $5 per vehicle. Another option is the $5-per-person entry fee, which covers the hay ride and walk-through, as well as a visit to the cottage for free hot chocolate, wizzle (apple cider and red hots) and goodies; there are also gifts and novelties for sale.
The weather tonight was very nice; we didn’t even need a sweater. It was a perfect outing.
