Still busy. Drove around and found the Ferry Landing that goes to Mobile. Then lunch at Lulu's ((Jimmy Buffet's sister). Great place for shrimp tacos overlooking the inner coastal waterway. Key lime pie too!
Next was a visit to Ft. Morgan. Built for the war of 1812 to protect the entrance to the Bay. It was later added to for the Civil War. It is where Admiral Farragut reportedly said "Damn the torpedoes full speed ahead. (At the time "torpedoes" were actually mines in the water). Later is was added on for the Spanish American War, WW 1 AND 2.
We have been trying to be active with our biking (up to 20 miles) and walking along the beach ( 1 to 2 miles). Evening sunsets are spectacular.
