We started today with a visit to Arc de Triomphe, then a stroll down Avenue des  Ćhamps Élyseés. We stopped for a croque monsieur for lunch then continued across to Saint Chapelle via  Trocadero to take a quick look at the Eiffel Tower. We plan to go back to the Eiffel Tower at night. Sainte-Chapelle was absolutely stunning, and features an amazing amount of stained glass. There are actually 1113 stained glass windows. It was built in the 12th century to house valuable relics of the passion of Christ including the crown of thorns worn by Jesus.

We wandered through some bustling lane ways, along the Seine through some Friday night markets and ended up at the Louve museum where we saw many amazing pieces including the Mona Lisa. The kids were pretty impressed by the physical size of some of the paintings! They were also surprised that the Mona Lisa was so small and located in a room of extremely large paintings. We saw the Statue of Aïn Ghazal which is a staggering 9,000 years old.
