Pacific Power Group called early to say they would probably have our motorhome repaired by this afternoon. So, we packed up the car and checked out of Grand View Hotel and drove to Anchorage to sit in their waiting room the rest of the day to wait.
Finally, at 6:45 pm we were back on the road and Larry said we should go to Seward since we missed it last time in 2017. We traveled approximately 130 miles arriving at 9 pm to a very full City Campground. They are first come first serve, no reservations.
Things were looking pretty bleak but at last we found a dry camp site (no utilities), in the back row. It was extremely windy, and Larry wasn’t sure he wanted to stay more than 1 night, but I paid for 2 just in case. The wind was so bad that we had to bring the bedroom slide in because the awning was making so much noise.
