We had a bit of a later start today. We went to the local park (Finsbury Park) and the kids spent a bit of time on the playing in the autumn leaves, and on the play grounds. Next to Finsbury Park is a Lidl Supermarket that we went to check out (very Aldi). We bought some bits for a picnic lunch to eat in the park.
When we finished our picnic, we headed into town. We had a look at the Equestrian Statue of the Duke of Wellington, Wellington Arch, Australian War Memorial, and the Royal Artillery Memorial. From here we walked through Knightsbridge (a beautiful area) to Harrods. The kids were in awe of the place and its opulence. They loved the interaction with the staff in the Toy department.
From Harrods we walked through some classic old London lanes to the Natural History Museum. This would be one of the highlights of Xavier’s trip so far. He was like a sponge taking in all that he could, and pointing out the “inside of the giraffe” (skeleton), Tyrannosaurus Rex, Whale, a Marlin, and much more. This was a fantastic museum that we have no doubt Xavier will be speaking of for a long time!
It was another great day!
