Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Marilyn & I were up early so that we could have time to share our coffee before leaving at 7:30 to pick up the grandkids who were spending the day with us.

With bicycles, electronics gear, games, and other kid stuff loaded in the van, we headed to the next important place, the grocery store.

The kids helped us shop and we then added bags of groceries to the load in the van and finally headed for home.

We parked in the drive to allow plenty of room for unloading and the kids took off riding their bikes and having fun. Their faces were red from the effort when they returned so it was time for indoor games.

Colby played with the X-Box racing a motorcycle around a very realistic motocross course on the TV. Lauren helped Marilyn in the kitchen as she prepared lunch.

Marilyn fixed a great batch of "sloppy Joe" sandwiches and served them with chips, cookies, and then strawberry shortcake with cookies & cream ice cream. I can't believe how much that grandson can eat! Wow!

With the kids properly "sugared up" we all sat at the table to play "Farkle". There was a great deal of laughter and fun and the kids really enjoyed that game.

More bike riding, electronic games, and chatter followed. Colby helped me fix a batch of cheese soup which we sent home with the kids for dinner.

It was a fun day with the grandkids, full of fun, laughter, and enjoyment.

Life is Good!
