Day 43, June 29

The forecast for today says it is going to be another hot one with temps in the upper 80s. This morning we took the doggies to Creamers Field just north of town. It was a dairy farm that is now converted to a wildlife refuge mainly for migratory birds. When we arrived there was around a hundred sandhill cranes in the front field but they were a ways in the distance and not good for a photo. After dropping in the visitor center we started walking one of the trails but Dianna got tired a couple of hundred yards down the trail so we turned around and went back. This is probably a better place in the spring and fall when migratory birds visit but the doggies had a good time. We left there and went to a viewing spot for the Alaska Pipeline. Then since the doggies were so good we went back to Pioneer Park for some lunch and a walk around the gold rush area. Then it was back to the trailer for a rest and to do a load of wash. Had to put the AC on again as the inside of the trailer was already 84 degrees.

Day 44, June 30

Looks like a cloudy day today with a chance for rain in the afternoon. Nothing on the agenda this morning but in the afternoon we went to the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum where they have a collection of nearly 70 restored autos with all but 3 in running condition and a collection of vintage fashions. After the museum we got a needed oil change at Walmart.
