First class train to York

Cute street in York

Cathedral in York

French dinner with cousin Judy, Neil and Connie

Fun day today. We made our way to the train station in Edinburgh with plenty of time to spare and found our way to the first class lounge where we enjoyed coffee and snacks before departing Scotland for last leg of trip in Northern England to spend time with cousin Judy and family. Lovely train ride along the seaside and enjoyed breakfast along the way (2.5 hour train ride). Judy and Neil met us at the station in York and then Judy went back to work and Neil gave us a private tour of York. It’s a lovely town with cute shops and cafes and very walkable. We stopped for lunch and did a 45 minute river cruise and then met up with Connit and Judy in the late afternoon and went for a wonderful French dinner before returning to their home in Wakefield. We were able to FaceTime with Lily, who turned 3 and throw kisses to Lily and Aviva. Technology is a wonderful thing!
