Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Friday, Move, & Baseball

Butch & Sandy were in Hannibal to pick up the RV. They are very nice people and it was a pleasure to get to know them. Marilyn & I had little to no sleep at all the night before so were both groggy when we met our new friends for breakfast.

The most difficult part of the day was watching our RV roll away from the Campground. I have to admit that I had a lump in my throat and didn’t answer Marilyn immediately when she asked me how it felt to watch the RV leave.

I was helped a bit when my phone rang and it was the guys delivering our new furniture. We had to hurry and actually left the Campground just ahead of our former RV.

We pulled up to our house just ahead of the furniture truck and the guys soon had it unloaded and placed properly in the house. Marilyn & I felt as if we were caught in a whirlwind and didn’t know where to begin with the garage full of items we had moved from the RV.

We made the beds so we would have a place to sleep, and searched for bathroom and kitchen items before we had to leave to attend Colby’s baseball game in Palmyra. His team remained undefeated for the season by winning again. The final score was 23 to 5.

We finally headed home with hopes of a great night of sleep ahead. Life is Good!
