Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Marilyn & I are sitting in our new home. No furniture until tomorrow and we will sleep on the floor. In case you are wondering why we didn’t sleep in the RV it’s because we have moved everything to the new home. Now we struggle to find anything we need. We did find wash cloths and towels, blankets, and food enough for a simple meal.

We have Pandora music playing and are tired enough to sleep anywhere. We turned in the U-Haul truck and will watch our RV leave tomorrow as it heads for its new home.

We still have a ton of things to get done so we will be busy for some time. The garage is so full of tubs, boxes, and bags that we can’t get either of our vehicles inside. I will try to remedy that situation over the weekend.

We have been blessed beyond measure through this process. Our friend Steve helped us load that heavy bedroom outfit and two young men who work at the cave unloaded it for us here at the house. Our daughter Jennifer helped tremendously yesterday and again today. Our son-in-law lucked out by being out of town on business while our move was happening. We also had the help of Tod who works at the cave. He helped me get the dorm fridge out of the basement storage area.

Marilyn has worked hard and now is limping around with a bad knee while I am just so tired that I barely function. We thank all of you who have sent us messages of good will and congratulations.

Marilyn & I had the honor and privilege of being full-time RVers for 13 years. The friendships and memories will forever be precious to us.

Now it is time to get some rest. Life is Good!
