Well here we are...on the road again. We are heading to a Newmar RV Rally in Clarkston, Washington. This is on the snake river at the gateway to Hells canyon.

We were up at 0530 (yawn, yawn) as we have a 7+ hour trip to make today. So we got underway at 0730, with no glitches! Thank you God! The weather today is clear and nice. Mount Rainer is visible in all her glory! Its pretty chilly this morning but it will warm up as we head over to eastern Washington. We have laid out our shorts to change into at lunch time, in anticipation of some warm 75 degree weather.

Traffic east bound was really light. The western lanes were 3 times worse, we guess that everyone was coming back from eastern Washington. And Going over Snoqualmie pass always brings back memories of our skiing days.

There was a fire in grant county but it didn't effect us. We saw a bit of smoke but that was all. We drove through lots of farming country today..lots of two lane roads after we crossed the Columbia river at Vantage. (And for those of you that know of Vantage, it was not windy there today. The water was actually calm. I have never been through Vantage that it wasn't windy.)

We made it to Clarkston at about 1530. We are staying at Hells Canyon RV Resort and there are 21 other Newmar RVs here along with us. (And a few other folks too, of course). This park is right on the river and very nice. I will have some more photos for you tomarrow.
