Today I led my last tour group through the Mark Twain Cave. It has been fun to be a guide for the two caves here in Hannibal. I’ve done this on a part-time basis since the spring of 2007 and have had the pleasure of working with some very fine people. Now it is time to begin a new chapter in our lives.
Marilyn & I took our time today because we were up early and I didn’t have a tour until 10:45. Once that tour ended I returned home for some lunch and then called to check on our car. The A/C wasn’t working and guess what! Mice had chewed through some wiring and the cost to fix it is about $250.
We drove to the Walmart to do some shopping for groceries and I picked up some gifts for the mice. We noticed that they had been inside the truck also. Well now we are feeding the little rascals but the result may not be to their liking.
Over the years we have had problems with mice before but never had an issue with them chewing through the wiring in our car or truck.
I will keep you advised of the drama as we go along until we move away from the campground. Luckily, so far, we have no issue with mice in the RV.
Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Life is Good!
