We have been busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest. Please forgive me for the visual you get with that comment.
Thursday began with a tour of Cameron Cave which went very well but I did bump my head several times in there. The floor was wet from all the moisture we have had and that glacial clay was very slick.
I made some phone calls and arranged for a house inspection and did more work on-line with the e-sign documents associated with the purchase of a house. We also retrieved a document from our safety deposit box and sent a copy to the buyers of our RV.
We had planned to meet our friends for dinner but our grandson was playing ball so we drove to the field in Palmyra and watched the kids game for several hours. It was after dark when we returned home.
Friday I led two tours of Mark Twain Cave. I had an eye test in the afternoon and discovered that I have cataracts which require surgery to restore my sight to a level where I can return to flying. That will happen quite soon.
Today we skipped breakfast and took care of several must do items on our agenda. We put new flowers on the graves of my parents and our daughter. We then shared a great lunch at B.K.’s Chicken in Monroe City with our daughter Jennifer, drove by the home we have purchased, and returned to the campground in heavy rain. We remained in the car for about 15 minutes waiting for the rain to slow down so we could make a run for it.
Oh my, Life is Good!
