Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

As you dear readers may have surmised, Marilyn & I have been out of touch over the weekend. We had family issues which took a top priority. We had the pleasure of the grandkids’ company for the weekend, so things like baseball, basketball, mushroom hunting, games, stories, puzzles, cooking meals, and DVD movies became sources of fun and entertainment.

Today, after dropping the kids off at school, we returned to our RV for a short time and then left for an appointment with the doctor. I now have another appointment to have a suspicious dark spot removed for a biopsy. That will be on Thursday.

We needed to complete some grocery shopping today and then completed several chores around the RV. I left one chore for tomorrow and that is to get a propane tank filled.

I did hear from the folks doing the pre-approval for a VA guaranteed loan so we are now free to purchase a home if we decide to go that route. We still hope to build if we can find the land to build on.

It was good to see that the flood waters have receded about one foot or more. Of course we are now facing a forecast for two or three days of storms. We hope the water level continues to go down in spite of the rain.

Marilyn & I are worn out and look forward to a good night of sleep tonight. In the meantime we wish for all of you, a wonderful, peaceful, and joyful day tomorrow. Life is Good!
