Today is a planned travel day. But, our plans often change.
After breakfast, we look at the map. John sees a scenic route. We zero in on South Toledo Bend State Park. The park is on the border of Louisiana and Texas.
We leave the RV Park and stop for gas. John wants to check tire pressures. He announces that one of the tires is getting pretty bad.
Tires are something you want to do in “The City” if possible. We head back to the RV Park and check in for another night. There is a crazy roundabout by the park. We are just starting to get the hang of it!
Any time we have work done on the RV, we have to find a shop that can handle us. I ask in the office for a recommendation. Our host immediately gives us the address and directions for Southern Tire. It’s a mile away. Go to the roundabout and . . . .
Southern Tires can handle us. I think we are the smallest rig in the place. Large tractor trailers and big RV’s are coming and going.
Our next concern is to get the tires done today. No problem, have a seat. You have one customer before you. By 11:00, we are back in camp with good tires and peace of mind!
We have a relaxing afternoon. I do a little laundry. Never pass up an opportunity and the laundry room here is one of the best! Maybe tomorrow we will get to South Toledo Bend State Park. What’s the rush?
