We stay an extra day in Lafayette. The weather is beautiful.

We drive ten miles to Vermilionville. It is a living history site. The Acadian, Native American and Creole Cultures are represented.

We walk the site, stopping to talk with each of the costumed crafts people. It is an enjoyable way to spend the day.

John gets to take another picture of an alligator. I get to feed some sheep. We have a very filling, delicious lunch.

Next to Vermilionville is the Jean Lafitte Acadian Cultural Center. I get a stamp. We briefly tour the museum. There is a thirty-five minute film. Normally, we would watch this but it is getting late and I am ready for a nap!
