|Today I went to breakfast about 7:30 and returned to the room to read the Star-Ledger online and worked on correcting old family pictures, some dating back to the 1920's that hace become discolored and spotted. I then departed the hotel around 11:00 to return the rental car.
The check-in at Hertz was a little slow. When I looked at my receipt, I had driven 621 miles on this trip. Over 4 days of actual travel (I'm not counting today when it was only a mile and a half and, yesterday when it was only 3 miles round trip), I averaged (subtract the last two days, divide by four, carry the 2, etc.) equals 164 miles a day.
I hopped the AirTrain to Terminal 3. Checking my luggage and going through TSA Pre-check made me very early. But I was traveling business class today, so I had access to the United Club lounge (Yeah!) and did not have to wait 4 hours at the gate. I had salad and chicken noodle soup for my lunch from the food bar. And two cookies and banana chips from the desert bar.
The boarding began at 3:40 for my 4:30 flight.
