Double Cruise Journey via the Suez Canal travel blog

Naples Italy a city built up every hill with streets between the buildings so narrow only bikes and scooters fit. Graffiti on everything even century’s old marble fountains. Every view includes Mt. Vesuvius. Our trip on the Hop On Off Bus was a language quilt of of voices. Museums, church’s, and the water front was full of venders selling everything from clothing and food to tires. It was set up like a fair with children’s rides and games. Because it was Easter there were very large eggs wrapped in foil covered with netting and tied with ribbon. Most children were carrying one. They set off fire works all day which is not an Easter tradition in the states.

Something that has surprised me about Italy is the Cactus and the variety of them. I asked if they had always grown here and was told yes. Just in southern Italy. You see a brass horse, green with the elements who knows how old and paddle cactus surround it.

There is pizza on every corner. It’s what I call artisan pizza. Balls of cheese, sliced tomatoes, bread like crust. D really wanted try one but the opportunity did present its self.

We are to set our clocks ahead one hour. The Captain has already said to expect gently rough seas. Those words should not be in a sentence together.

Smart casual in the Dining room, I’m never sure what that means. You see sequins and rhinestones on dresses and jeans.
