After the terrible storm with tornados on Saturday, we decided to stay another day to let the winds subside. So, we stayed inside and let the world go by, tuneing in to the Masters Golf Tournament. We watched our many favorites play their best, but rooted vehemently for Tiger Woods as he plied his skill set so confidently to win the 2019 Masters. What a comeback, what tenacity making the impossible, possible.
On Monday, we departed Vicksburg heading east then northeast the required 310 miles to Red Bay, Alabama. We used at least four different highways to get here. A fun drive nonetheless. When we arrived and checked in at the RV office, the nice lady told us the Service Center RV Park was full but we’d probably have space the next day. We parked for the night about 1/2 mile away at the Red Bay RV Park. And sure enough we got a call saying there was space for us at the Tiffin Service Center Park.
As we write this entry the scheduler told us that it’ll be about two or three days before we will be fixed. There are only three small things that need tending. First, is the NHTSA Recall for the towing hitch system. Second, our frame supports need to be checked for possible cracked welds, the rough and terrible freeways and highways batter all the RV’s. Three, the awning needs a little adjustment.
NOTE: Ginger is turning out to be a great RV traveler. She’s quiet, obedient, smart to learn quickly. We’ve determined that she is much younger than we were told. She uses her mouth and teeth’s whatever is in front of her, like a puppy. As we write this we’ve been a pack of three for 12 days. Ginger is a terrific addition.
