We enjoyed breakfast at Isaack’s country restaurant – a quaint little café, then headed for the South Llano state park to bird. Met some wonderful folks on the trails, and some terrific birds. At noon, we took a break for lunch in town, then a little time at the campground to sit outdoors and enjoy the amazing blue sky, gentle breeze, and watch birds as we looked out over the river. Around 3, we decided to go back to the park and try for more. We walked a few trails and checked out blinds and some river overlooks – what a beautiful place with huge old ash trees just coming into leaf – it was lovely.
Dinner was at Lum’s BBQ – delicious. Once home, we enjoyed happy hour, then showered to be ready to leave tomorrow morning. Super day.
