Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

We were sharing our coffee when Marilyn suggested I call the place where we get our hair cut. When we found that they were open we did some quick time getting dressed and completing the normal chores.

We spoke to Denny & Jackie on the phone and decided to meet for lunch at the “Wing Stop” in Penitas. We left the barber salon looking much better than when we entered for sure. I then needed to drive to the City Water Dept to have our utility bill for water, sewer, and trash pickup put on vacation status. That cost a fee of $2.50 and we were on our way west to pick up Denny & Jackie.

We enjoyed our time with friends and visiting while we shared lunch together. All too soon it was time to take our friends home and drive home to the ordeal of preparing our 2018 Federal Tax return.

There was some frustration and I have to make a phone call tomorrow because I am missing a form from one of our funds but it appears that we will get a refund at the end.

I also had enough time to send the information about our RV lot and Coach House to Jack Mayer who manages the rental website for Retama Village. We are putting our place in the rental pool for the next winter season. The rental system seems to work great and it is normal for all of the rentals to be booked early.

Marilyn fixed sandwiches for dinner and I followed that with Lemon ice cream for dessert. Life is Good!
