Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

It rained during the night last night and the weather was cool and damp with a solid overcast when we awoke this morning. Marilyn & I finished our coffee and made everything ship-shape in the RV, looking forward to a visit from friends Jesse & Ginger.

They arrived a bit later and we enjoyed a fine visit catching up with the lives of one another. Sometimes it is nice to have just one or two couples visiting because we have a chance to really talk with each other. We are often in groups of a dozen or more of our friends and that makes it difficult to get a good visit, even though every one of them is special to us.

Our friends left us with shared hugs and a promise to get together tomorrow. We look forward to that and also seeing other friends who plan to be here. I am going to attempt to pack the basement storage area tomorrow and that will leave only an hour or two to be ready for the road.

Marilyn & I drove off to the Hobby Lobby store for her to purchase more thread for her cross-stitch project. By that time we were hungry so we stopped at Chili’s for lunch before driving a short distance to the HEB store. We picked up a few items we needed and finally made it back home a few minutes after 2:00 PM.

The remainder of our day was spent making plans such as attending the St Patrick’s Day potato bake at the clubhouse tomorrow in the early evening.

I spent a couple of hours today working on my latest book, “From Kelly with Love” and by the time I finished it was getting dark outdoors. This day sure went by fast but Life is Good!
