Leaving the Hill Country heading southeast to San Antonio

Near the airport in San Antonio. Why does this scene remind me...

Our digs very near the airport.

Kerrville to San Antonio, last full day in Texas

After breakfast in a small cafe called “Hill Country Cafe Since 1942” in Kerrville. Was a good local joint with good food.

Our road trip today was a short 1 hour, 62 mile trip back to San Antonio. The day is a bit cooler and cloudy but otherwise a fine day for travel.

The agenda for the day is to kill time by visiting Macies then a library library before checking into our our hotel near the airport to pack and rest for a long day in the air and in airports. There will be three legs to the trip with 10 hours in the air and 8 hours layovers in airports. Can hardly wait.

We went to a very good burger place near our hotel next to the airport called the “54th Street and Restaurant and Drafthouse”. We had another great waiter here. Julie thinks its the people of Texas that are so nice. I think it’s her that brings out the best in folks.

I took Julie back to the room. I went out to get gas and practice getting to the airport in the dark because we will be leaving early, (in the dark). I don’t want any glitches like I had when I arrived in San Antonio. Got it figured out now.

Gonna be a long day tomorrow but at least it only snowed 2 inches in Anchorage.

Had a great trip to Texas, summary to follow.
