I was sleeping soundly when I was awakened by the wind hitting our RV in strong gusts. The weather forecast was for the strong wind to begin at 3:00AM and when I glanced at the clock it read 2:58 AM.
It was nearly 8:00 when we were awake and sipping our coffee together, talking about the tasks we had planned for the day.
Marilyn began cleaning house while I took the paperwork and drove away to take care of registering the car, truck, and RV. At the window I was asked if my wife was with me. I answered no and was asked if I brought her driver’s license with me. Again the answer was no and I was informed that Marilyn was a licensed driver and they had to have a copy of her driver’s license.
I called Marilyn to have her take a picture of her license and send to me as a text message. She did that and all was well. Finally, for a mere $248.50 we had new stickers for all three vehicles.
I returned home and helped Marilyn for a while and then drove off again, this time to put some birthday stuff in the mail for our two grandchildren. I stopped to pick up some fried chicken for a late lunch before returning home.
The wind died off during the afternoon and the temperature climbed into the 60’s which allowed us to be comfortable with the windows open.
It was a good day and just like living here in the valley, Life is Good!
