A small sail boat out on the lake enjoying the evening

January 16 we met up with Barb & Mike in the afternoon for lunch at Barley Brothers Brewery by the London Bridge in downtown Lake Havasu City AZ. ( more info on the bridge and it’s history, see golakehavasu.com) After a wonderful meal, we took the “ferry” across the lake to the Casino in California. Lake Havasu City has 3 micro breweries, and Tom was able to sample brews from 2 of them. ( Mudshark brewery & Barley Brothers Brewery) Guess we may have to come back to sample brews from Hangar24brewery. All that were sampled were GOOD. (See Barley Brothers Brewery.com., Mudshark.com and Hangar24brewing.com) We said our good byes, and headed back to our camp ground. We look forward to catching up with them again in our future travels.

On the the morning of the 17th, we left Cattail Cove State Park at around 10:15, to make the trek back to Yuma. Due to the rains the desert was quite noticeably greener on our trip south to Yuma. Several of the washes had standing water in them, and it was evident some water ran across RT 95 in places. When we got into Yuma, we stopped at the Flying J to weigh the RV and fueled up with diesel and propane. We got back to the our park and got mostly setup just in time for 5 o’clock!!! Deb’s diner cooked us up another fabulous meal, we enjoyed the sunset, and here it is, nite time again. Bentley is enjoying his “old stomping grounds” once again!
