Marilyn & I are both feeling better and today we even drove to a “Church’s Chicken” place to pick up fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, coleslaw, and honey-butter biscuits. We drove back home to eat a late lunch but have plenty left over for dinner.
Marilyn took her book outdoors to enjoy the 81 degree weather while I remained indoors with the intent of inspecting my eyelids for light leaks. Despite my good intentions I became interested in a movie about the cavalry in the old west.
Tomorrow we should be pretty much back to normal and I look forward to a shower, shave, maybe a haircut, and real clothing. Sunday may be another day of rest and then Monday we are hoping to accompany friends to Mexico where one will visit a Dentist while most of the remainder in our happy band will test the latest batch of tequila.
Jennifer and the grandkids called with a real-time video of the new puppy. The kids and Jennifer are tickled pink over the addition to the family, while Steve is a good Dad and Husband, tolerating with good humor the puppy. Marilyn & I look forward to petting this cute little guy when we get home.
They are also experiencing a major snowstorm back home so we wish them good fun with popcorn and games of monopoly while they are snowed in.
Meanwhile, here in the valley, Life is Good!
