Our port stop today is Barbados. We decided to book a tour. Our guide was awesome.
First stop at the Orchid Gardens. Of course, I love flowers and took way too many pictures. We had a break to sample some local rum before heading off to the next venue, Gun Hill Signal Station.
This restored signal station was built in 1818 to warn the island about approaching ships. We had a sweeping 360-degree view of the island as well as the opportunity to view a collection of military memorabilia.
Last stop brought us to the Sunbury Plantation. This is a renovated sugar estate house, built in 1650 originally. Presented a great example of plantation life of a bygone era. Amazing collection of memorabilia including antique carriages. We finished up the tour with more rum sampling.
Dinner was really good tonight; food on this ship has been very good. The show tonight was really good with a ballroom flair and wonderful costumes.
