It's Christmas Eve and we are in the beautiful island of St. Kitts.
Our day adventure took us to Brimstone Hill Fortress, referred to as The Gibraltar of the West Indies. Great views of St. Kitts and neighboring Nevis. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best preserved military fortresses in the Americas.
Caribelle Batik was next stop, located on the grounds of Romney Manor, an old sugar plantation. Here masters of the ancient Indonesian technique of wax-resist dyeing displayed their creations called Batik. Beautiful garments and gift items were on display and for sale. We're not into collecting things anymore so we didn't buy anything, but they were very pretty to admire.
Back on board ship, we were in full Christmas spirit. The Christmas show was really cute and we enjoyed our day here.
Next stop Martinique.
