It could be very difficult to get into the Christmas spirit when you are far from your family, with temperatures in the 80’s and palm trees waving in the warm breeze.
Some of the things which make Christmas a fun event for RV folks are the gatherings with good friends, church services, happy music, the lights, the constant wishes for a merry Christmas, and the overall joyous feeling which surrounds you.
For us, the many meals with close friends, shared experiences, and awesome weather have made this Christmas season a real joy. By the way I heard a description of JOY that struck me as absolute truth. J is for Jesus, O is for others, and Y is for you. If you make your priorities in this same manner I believe you will find JOY for sure.
Our Christmas dinner today was enjoyed in the company of friends, the meal shared sitting outdoors near the pool, in 81 degree weather. The food was delicious and plentiful, and we all came home with a warm feeling of contentment.
Tomorrow we are meeting friends at the airport in Harlingen. We will share dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Harlingen called the Las Vegas Café, before delivering these good friends to their winter home. Then, on Thursday, we have six couples going to Mexico for more fun.
It has been a great Christmas, reminding us of other holidays spent with our RV friends. Life is Good!
